VRUCK is committed to:
Connecting government, non-profit and private veteran service organizations via a board of representatives of veteran-focused stakeholders.
And promoting a greater cooperation among all organizations delivering services to veterans in the Central/ Southeastern Kentucky area.
Collaboratively identifying and addressing gaps in needed programs and services for veterans.
Providing veterans with an additional platform via stakeholder representatives on board to discuss concerns, needs, and issues.
Providing information to community board members about available resources to increase accessibility and visibility of available services.
Facilitating community forums (“Vets Connecting”) where veterans and service providers can learn about and from each other.
Planning and developing community events to raise awareness and support for veterans.
Developing an advocacy capacity to lobby for needed veterans programs, resources, and legislation.
